Julian Hayes
Julian Hayes specialises in criminal defence litigation, including complex fraud, regulatory offences and serious general crime.
After qualifying, he gained valuable experience working as a financial regulator in the City and as a commercial litigator in both London and Australia. He returned to the UK in 2003 and defended clients accused of serious criminal offences, including murder, manslaughter, fraud and corruption, before joining BCL Burton Copeland in 2006, since when he has advised and represented clients in relation to investigations and prosecutions by the Serious Fraud Office, HM Revenue & Customs, and the Crown Prosecution Service.
