Aaron McCalister
Aaron is an experienced paralegal specialising in criminal litigation with a particular interest in complex fraud. He studied English and German Laws (LLB Hons) at the University of Liverpool and the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, Germany and completed the Bar Vocational Course at the College of Law.
Between academic studies, Aaron was employed in the regulatory environment of the Legal Services Commission in both the Peer Review and Complex Crime Departments. Subsequently, Aaron worked for two well-respected criminal defence firms of solicitors as well as in the City.
Aaron has a variety of fraud experience having defended prosecutions by the Serious Fraud Office and HM Revenue & Customs, as well as the largest prosecution undertaken by the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs. He also has significant experience in all aspects of general crime.
He is a member of the Honourable Society of Middle Temple, the Criminal Bar Association and the Young Fraud Lawyers’ Association. He has also undertaken pro bono work for the Free Representation Unit and the Legal Advice Centre of the College of Law.
Aaron is fluent in German.
