Aaron McCalister
Aaron is a solicitor specialising in criminal litigation with an emphasis on serious and complex general crime. He studied English and German Laws (LLB Hons) at the University of Liverpool and the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, Germany. After completing the Bar Vocational Course at the College of Law, Aaron subsequently cross-qualified as a solicitor.
Between academic studies, Aaron was employed in the regulatory environment of the Legal Services Commission in both the Peer Review and Complex Crime Departments. Subsequently, Aaron worked for two well-respected criminal defence firms of solicitors as well as in the City.
Aaron has a variety of fraud experience having defended prosecutions by the Serious Fraud Office, HM Revenue & Customs and the Royal Mail as well as the largest prosecution undertaken by the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs.
Aaron is a member of the Honourable Society of Middle Temple, the Criminal Bar Association, the Young Fraud Lawyers’ Association and the London Criminal Courts Solicitors’ Association. He has also undertaken pro bono work for the Free Representation Unit and the Legal Advice Centre of the College of Law.
