David specialises in serious and general criminal litigation, motoring law, extradition and regulatory law.
He has particular experience in advising and representing individuals accused of sexual offences, drugs offences and offences involving violence. He is an experienced police station representative and advocate and represents clients in a broad range of proceedings at the Magistrates’ Court, Crown Court and Court of Appeal.
David acts for professionals and high-profile individuals and has a reassuring appreciation of the pressures and strains that clients face when subject to investigation.
David graduated from the University of Dundee (LLB (Hons)) before continuing his studies in London whilst also working as a paralegal and police station representative. David qualified as a solicitor in 2014 and joined BCL in 2015 from a national firm specialising in criminal law. Prior to entering into private practice, David undertook an internship at the California Appellate Project, where he assisted in the representation of defendants sentenced to death in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales, the Young Fraud Lawyers Association, the London Criminal Courts Solicitors’ Association and Amicus.
