Natasha Murray is highly experienced across the firm’s work profile, having joined BCL in 1997. Her practice encompasses both serious and general crime and business crime and regulation; she is noted for her exceptional client care.
Working closely with lead partner Mark Haslam, she has broad and in depth experience of serious and general crime. She has defended investigations and prosecutions for murder (including representing an alleged serial killer), manslaughter, money laundering, large scale drugs importation, and road traffic offences (often arising out of a fatal accident). As such, she has a wealth of experience of defending investigations and prosecutions by the Crown Prosecution Service and Revenue & Customs.
In addition, in the business crime and regulation sector, Natasha has defended high profile cases brought by the Serious Fraud Office, the Health and Safety Executive (usually following a fatality), and Trading Standards.
Further, Natasha undertakes Court Martial work and was involved in the successful defence of the Court Martial of the highest ranking army officer to face Court Martial proceedings as a result of serving in Iraq.
Natasha attended the University of Westminster and is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives. She is also a member of the London Criminal Courts Solicitors’ Association, the Young Fraud Lawyers’ Association and the Institute of Legal Executives.
