Tom McNeill
Tom McNeill is a solicitor specialising in criminal/regulatory litigation with an emphasis on serious and complex crime, including corporate manslaughter, health and safety offences following fatal accidents, and all types of fraud. Tom has been involved in advising a number of organisations in a range of industries and sectors following fatal accidents in relation to corporate manslaughter, gross negligence manslaughter, and health and safety offences, as well as Coroners’ inquests. In addition, Tom has acted for individuals and corporations on a number of high profile and high value fraud investigations and prosecutions, including Oil-For-Food bribery, banking fraud, money laundering and tax fraud. He has also acted for a number of professionals and high profile individuals in relation to allegations ranging from public order offences to murder. Tom's experience includes advising in relation to one of the World’s top ten insider dealing cases of all time (The Times), the largest murder investigation in Suffolk Constabulary’s history, and the Iraq Public Inquiry. Tom joined BCL Burton Copeland in 2002, having completed a law degree at Lancaster University and the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law. Tom is a member of the Law Society, the Health and Safety Lawyers’ Association and the Young Fraud Lawyers’ Association.
