BCL’s Alex Swan appointed as European Regional Forum Liaison Officer to IBA’s Business Crime Committee

BCL is pleased to announce that the International Bar Association (IBA) has appointed senior associate Alex Swan as the European Regional Forum Liaison Officer to its Business Crime Committee.  The appointment is for a two-year period.

The IBA Business Crime Committee’s primary objective is to provide a forum for members to meet and discuss, address and advocate on core and recently developing white collar issues.  The Committee’s goal is also to promote awareness within the business community and among transactional lawyers of the growing significance of novel criminal defence tactics.  The Committee has recently been focussing on the new trends of international cooperation in criminal matters.

Speaking on the announcement, Alex Swan said:

“I’m delighted to be appointed as an officer of the IBA’s Business Crime Committee, and I am looking forward to working with my fellow committee officers and providing an effective forum to discuss matters of interest and importance regarding white collar crime.”
