Business Crime and Regulation Paralegal (Full-Time)

We are currently seeking to recruit a paralegal to join our Business Crime and Regulation department; the role is available with immediate effect and will initially be offered on a fixed-term 12-month contract, however there is a possibility that the role may become permanent in the future.

The team are specialists dealing with corporate crime, financial crime and regulatory offences. They are experts in their field, consistently top-ranked by Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500, and recognised in Who’s Who Legal and in GIR’s list of the world’s leading investigations firms.  The team represents corporate clients and individuals in relation to serious, complex and high-profile investigations, prosecutions, Coroner’s inquests and public inquiries.  They have extensive experience advising regarding offences such as serious fraud, bribery and corruption, money laundering, insider dealing, market abuse, data protection, corporate manslaughter, health and safety and environmental protection.

The successful candidate will:

  • have an analytical mind and an excellent academic background including a law degree or GDL;
  • have an understanding of criminal/regulatory investigations and prosecutions, ideally but not necessarily involving the above offences;
  • be able to exhibit an interest in the relevant practice areas outlined above; and
  • be keen to join a team of dedicated lawyers at the forefront of this area of the law.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a similar role within a criminal law practice.
