John Binns gives evidence to the House of Lords EU Home Affairs Sub-Committee

On Wednesday 18th July 2018, Mr. Binns, Partner at BCL Solicitors LLP gave evidence on the impact of Brexit on the UK’s participation in the European Arrest Warrant (EAW), and other EU measures designed to enhance cooperation between member states in the field of criminal justice.

As an expert in all aspects of business criminal law, he stressed the importance of agreeing an enforcement mechanism with the EU to safeguard fundamental rights in this area, including under the EU’s Charter of Fundamental Rights and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
