Akash is an Associate in BCL’s Commercial Litigation team, specialising in high-value commercial litigation, complex contractual disputes, fraud-related claims and contentious regulatory matters.
Akash represents corporates, senior executives and high-net-worth individuals in multifaceted commercial disputes in the English courts. His practice encompasses substantial contractual claims, fraud and economic tort allegations, shareholder and trust disputes and litigation arising from regulatory and financial misconduct contexts. His work frequently involves large-scale document analysis, coordination with counsel and forensic experts, and managing matters with cross-border elements. He has significant experience of trial work and regularly works closely with counsel in complex, document-heavy proceedings.
Prior to joining BCL, Akash trained and qualified in the Disputes & Investigations team of an international City firm, where he gained focused experience in commercial litigation and contentious matters. He has been involved in high-value claims before the Commercial Court, assisting on complex case strategy and trial preparation.
He also has a particular interest in sports-related disputes and regulatory matters. Akash brings relevant sector experience from his time as Legal Counsel for a global Formula One team. In that role, he advised on commercial disputes, litigation risk, regulatory issues and supported live matters involving protests, appeals and regulatory interviews.
Akash read Business Law LLB (Hons) at Nottingham Law School and completed the LLM Legal Practice Course at BPP University. He is fluent in English, Gujarati and Hindi.
