Domestic and International Arbitration

We are trusted by clients worldwide to resolve cross-border and domestic commercial arbitration disputes efficiently and confidentially.

Arbitration continues to develop as an attractive alternative to resolving high-value complex disputes using a procedure that preserves confidentiality, provides greater flexibility, and often enables disputes to be resolved more quickly and at lower cost than court litigation, and with more efficient international enforcement.

We have an understanding of commercial arbitration under the rules of all major arbitration centres, and we support clients in a variety of sectors through every stage of the international and domestic arbitration process.

We are committed to pursuing and resolving arbitration disputes in a manner that meets our clients’ goals, and is focused and cost-effective. Recognising that each dispute is unique, at the outset, we dedicate time and effort to comprehensively understand each client’s strategy, market position, and commercial objectives.

Much of our work involves an international element, and we have excellent connections across the international legal community, and frequently work with colleagues across various jurisdictions in order to deliver the best possible outcome.

Our familiarity with arbitral procedures allows us to improve the knowledge and expertise of the broader arbitration community. Most recently, we were invited to contribute to the annual conference "Arbitrating Indo-UK Commercial Disputes" organised by the Indian Council of Arbitration where our partner, Robert Lawrie, shared his expertise on Hybrid Dispute Resolution Models in Indo-UK Commercial Conficts.

BCL have unique practitioner insight on a range of national security and law enforcement powers and are not afraid to take the hard cases.
