Callum is currently assisting with the preparation of a defence in a complex bribery case prosecuted by the SFO.
Before joining BCL, Callum read history at Durham University, graduating with first-class honours in 2023. Callum then completed a Master’s in Law and Legal Practice at BPP University. He graduated with a distinction in 2024 following the completion of his dissertation, which critically assessed the efficacy of the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007.
Following his law conversion, Callum completed the Barrister Training Course at BPP, graduating with a high distinction in all modules. Callum plans to be called to the Bar in October, and he will commence pupillage in October 2026.
Outside of his studies, Callum volunteered through the BPP Pro-bono Centre to help the North Kensington Law Centre with applications for legal aid relating to various housing disputes and issues, including homelessness, eviction, and rent arrears. Callum has also gained experience, having worked as a legal researcher for a barrister practising in civil law.
