Megan works on a range of high-profile and complex contentious matters. She has been involved in investigations and proceedings brought by the police, Financial Conduct Authority, National Crime Agency and the Serious Fraud Office, in relation to matters including bribery and corruption, fraud, money laundering and insider dealing.

Megan has also worked on cases relating to the Grenfell Tower fire and the Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry. Her scientific background lends itself to issues with a medical element, which she has used to inform her work in relation to a coroner’s inquest.

Megan has experience acting for defendants in relation to privately brought prosecutions. Her work also includes ancillary matters such as asset freezing and forfeiture, the enforcement of costs awards and judicial review challenges, which are complimented by her previous civil litigation experience.

Megan has been involved in fast-paced and complex internal investigations, and has experience of advising corporates in relation to financial crime compliance.

Prior to joining BCL, Megan was an associate in the commercial litigation team of a city firm where she worked for high-net-worth individuals and corporates on a range of contentious matters including civil fraud claims, international financial disputes and reputation management work.  Megan’s experience provides her with a unique understanding of the interplay between criminal and civil litigation regimes.

Megan read Medical Pharmacology at Cardiff University before studying the GDL on a scholarship. Megan achieved a distinction in her LPC, and subsequently trained and qualified at an international city firm. Megan was admitted as a solicitor in September 2020 and joined BCL in August 2023.
